FAQ's

01. How is the enrolment process?

To enrol on a course, you must be of legal age and all you have to do is access the course file and click on the “Enrol Now” button. This will take you to the course shop, where you will only have to fill in a simple form and pay by credit card.

You will receive an email with the confirmation of your purchase and from there we will guide you through the next step in which you will need to provide us with your tax details and a digital copy of your Identity Card or Passport in order to:

  • Receive the invoice
  • Obtain your @ied.edu email
  • Access the course online campus (access is only available one week before the start of the course)
  • Access the course private community

02. Can I speak to an academic advisor or request further information about the course?

At the IED Forward website, or from the course description, you can request information by clicking on “Contact us” and an academic advisor will contact you to solve any doubts you may have.

03. How can I pay for the course?

To guarantee your place and buy the course you have to pay by credit card: Visa, MasterCard, UPI and JCB.

04. What methodology do you use in your online courses?

The online methodology or online course is based on a learning method that uses technological tools. In this digital environment based on ICT, networks, internet, platforms, etc., teachers and students make contact, exchange teaching material, interact and share knowledge through different training activities.

05. What requirements and equipment do I need to take the course?

You need a computer with any operating system (PC/Mac) that has been in use for less than 4 years and with a cutting-edge browser installed (Chrome, Safari or Firefox, updated to their latest versions) and of course, if your course is on-site, you must bring a laptop. In the event that a course requires any specific requisite, the teacher will notify you at the course introduction.

06. Can I access the contents through an iPad or a mobile phone?

These courses are designed to offer a complete training experience at the IED, that is why we recommend doing it through a cutting-edgeand computer and browser. But you can also access the content on mobile and tablet.

07. Do I need previous experience to enrol?

No previous experience is required but a basic education is necessary to allow you to learn without limitations. Please contact your academic advisor for more information.

08. How much time do you need to complete a course?

It depends on each course. We recommend you to check the short introduction video to the course and module 0 where the teaching staff will explain you how much time the course requires as well as information about it. Usually the time required for a course is between 5 and 8 hours per week.

The course is designed so that you can do it at the scheduled time specified on the website, but sometimes you may need to spend some additional time, for example, if you want to go deeper into some content that is of your interest.

09. Do I get a diploma at the end of the course?

Yes, at the end of the course all those of you who have completed the course will receive a certificate of completion. This is a private diploma that certifies the number of training hours and the course content that you have completed.

10.Which teaching staff and tutors are available to the student and what are their functions?

Testimonials

Testimonials are IED alumni who have successfully developed their professional career in the world of design, after their time at IED.
They identify with the methodology learnt at the IED and in the course they will explain how they have interpreted and developed it with their own creative originality.
Their testimonials are a source of inspiration for students and are included in both the general introduction to the course and the beginning of each subject in the form of an asynchronous masterclass. The student has no contact with the testimonials.

Coordinator

The course coordinator manages and organises the different aspects that make up the teaching staff’s educational activities. They have a 360º approach to didactic and pedagogical planning and take care of the correct development of the course so that the students achieve the learning objectives.

Teacher

The teacher is the academic guide who accompanies the student during the learning process of each subject, being the expert who helps them to solve their doubts about the contents and the development of the planned activities. In addition, the teacher will teach a synchronous class to introduce the subject, will moderate the forum and will correct the exercises by giving personalised feedback to the students. There will be more than one teacher during the course.

Campus Tutor
The Campus tutor is the organizational reference for the course and assists the students by providing each week the necessary information for the development of the subjects, communicating the planned activities, remembering the deadlines and the tasks to be carried out throughout each week of study.

  • Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 to 17:00 GMT+1

Technical Support
The technical support staff is available to help students solve any technical problems related to the platform and its use. It is possible to contact support through the Campus or by e-mail. Doubts are resolved within an estimated period of 24-48 hours.

11. Are there any prerequisites or materials needed for the course?

In the course description, at the bottom right, you can find the necessary knowledge to take the course.

The teaching materials needed to complete the course are those found within the different modules into which the course is divided, as well as the different videos and complementary materials.
